Arthur Leonard White
Arthur Leonard White,
71, a retired air freight worker for Delta Air Lines, where he worked for
30 years, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at his home in Malden.
Arthur was born and raised in Malden.
He attended the Malden School systems, but at the age of 17 before he
graduated, he enlisted in the Air Force to help fight in the Korean Conflict.
While in the service, he did complete his GED.
After serving his tour, he returned to the Malden area
where he married his wife, Eleanor Dillingham. They settled down on Wolcott Street, and he lived there
for over 35 years. He went to work for Delta Airlines as part of their Air Freight personnel,
and retired from there after 30 years.
He was an active member
of the Loyal Order of Moose, Malden for over 40 years.
He is survived by daughter Judith A. Perrault of VA, son
L. Michael White of NJ, son
Kevin R. White of Medford, daughter Deborah
T. White of Somerville, daughter Diane T. White of NC, and son Mark A. White of
Melrose. He is also survived by his brother Arthur Davey of Billerica,
sister Barbara Davey of OR, and brother Joseph LeBlanc. He was the
grandfather of Thomas Jr., Stephanie, Timothy, and Megan Perrault of VA, Julia,
Samantha and Dana White of NJ, Jonathan, Jaclyn, Keryn, and Courtney White of
Medford, Marissa and Kristen Underwood of Somerville, Kelly Smith of NC, and
Kyle, Ian and Morgan White of Melrose.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, his father
Sidney White, and his mother Elizabeth Burbie.
He was born March 24, 1930 in Malden, Massachusetts the son
of Sidney and Elizabeth (Burbie) White. He
served in the Air Force during Korean Conflict.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on
Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2001 at
9:00 A.M. at Sacred Hearts Church.
Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
