Henry Joseph White Jr.

Henry Joseph White,  58, lifelong resident of Malden, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Melrose Wakefield hospital after a lengthy illness.  Henry was born and raised in Malden.  Immediately out of high school, Henry enlisted in the Air Force  and helped our country fight in Viet Nam.  He served honorably for almost four years until his discharge in 1968.    After his return, he began working as a mechanic and truck driver.  He continued with this for over 25 years until a disability forced his early retirement. 

He is survived by his former wife Mary E. ( Hegarty) White  of Malden, his daughters, Kelly A. White  of Malden and Kristy J. Fries of Holden, his sisters  Sarah  "Betty" Godfrey  of Bradford, Louise   T. McGillicuddy  of FL, Patricia   A. Reeder  of N. Reading, Pamela D. White if GA, Pearl   F. Caron of Chelsea, and  Diane  M. Denault of Salem,  her brother  James   W. White  of Georgetown, and her grandchildren, Erik, Joseph, Jake and Kylie. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry J.Sr.  and Louise (Jackson )White  and his son Henry J. White III.

He was born October 09, 1946 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of Henry J. and Louise (Jackson) White Sr..  He served in the Air Force during Vietnam Era having attained the rank of Airman E-2. enlisted on February 22, 1968 at Malden, MA discharged on October 21, 1968 at Norton AFB 

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29th  from 12 - 3 PM.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday,  May 29, 2004 at  3:00 P.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home.   Burial will be private.
