Frank Andrew Wilsack

Frank Andrew Wilsack, 93, a retired painter who worked for years, died Monday, April 02, 2001 at his home in Malden, Massachusetts.  Frank was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada.  He came to the Boston area in the late 1920's, and eventually settled in Malden.  He married his wife Fannie in 1933, at the Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden, and they shared the next 67 years together.

Frank was a self-employed painter, painting interiors and exteriors of both residential and commercial properties.  Having a strong work ethic, he was still painting into his 90's.  He fully retired in 1998.

He was a member of the Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden, a past member of the YMCA, and also a member of the Painter's Union.  He also was an avid baseball and hockey fan, but his most pleasurable time was spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife Fannie E. (Thompson), son Richard N. Wilsack and his wife Barbara of Eastham, son Ralph S. Wilsack and his wife Susan of Choctaw, OK grandchildren Andrew F. Wilsack and his wife Kathleen, Thomas M. Wilsack and his wife Audrey, and Michael N. Wilsack and his wife Bethan, his step-grandsons, Scott R. Bergman, and Stephen R. Bergman, and grandsons Peter R. Wilsack and Daniel J. Wilsack.

He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Wilsack, his mother Mary (Vincent), his brothers Jack Wilsack, Stanley Wilsack, his sisters Annie Chervinsky, Mary Trasuk, Lena Smith, and his grandson James R. Wilsack.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Rev. Francis E. Sullivan of Sacred Hearts Church will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester.  Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Sacred Hearts Rectory, 297 Main St, Malden, MA  02148
