Sarah J. “Sadie” Wingerter Sarah J. “Sadie” Wingerter, at 106 years old, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA. "Sadie" was born in Boston and educated in Malden Schools. When she completed school she married and raised her two children. She then went to work for the Schraft's Candy Company of Charlestown as a floor lady where she was employed for over twenty-five years retiring in 1961. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden. Mrs. Wingerter was a life long resident of Malden, MA. She is survived by her son Fred W. Wingerter of Malden six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Wingerter formerly of Malden and her daughter Mary Hodgkins formerly of Malden. . She was born February 12, 1896 in Boston, MA. one of eighteen children of the late John and Mary (Faucher) Heath. Contributions in “Sadie’s” memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 40 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 Graveside funeral services were held on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
