Lillian Eleanor Wolsey

  Lillian E.  (Lane) Wolsey, 100,  a  homemaker, died Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Winchester Nursing Home in Winchester, MA.  Lillian was born in Revere, raised  and educated in  Malden. She was a  graduate of Malden High School Class of 1923 and a  former member of the First Baptist Church in Malden before moving to Winchester in  1953. She was a member of Malden Old & New, Eastern Star and the Garden Club, Women’s Fellowship  Group “N” all in Malden. Lillian was a  member of the First Baptist Church in Winchester. She was a Deaconess with the  church and a member of the Women’s Fellowship in Winchester. Mrs. Wolsey had lived in Winchester  for forty-seven years and  had a summer home in  Wareham.

Devoted  mother of  L. Eleanor Wolsey of Winchester, Barbara  L. Thompson of Yarmouth Port,  Karlene E. Callahan of  Middlebury, VT.   Loving aunt of Priscilla  F. Mallett of Malden, Lillian was the cherished grandmother of  eight grandchildren & fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Karl V. Wolsey Sr., her father Edward Lane, her mother Margaret Curtin, her brother’s George Lane, Edward Lane, her sister Catherine E. Lane, her son Karl V. Wolsey Jr. and  grandson, James Callahan Jr.

She was born May  8, 1904 in Revere, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Curtin) Lane.

Visitation will be held at the Weir -MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday, from 4- 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church, 98 Mt. Vernon St.  Winchester. The Rev. Michael Thedford   will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester.
