Ronald Henry Wright

Ronald Henry Wright, 72, died Sunday, August 4, 2002 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.   Mr. Wright had  lived in Melrose, MA for the last  16 years and was formerly a resident of Malden for 35 years. Ron attended the Somerville School system and joined the United States Air Force on January 3, 1951 an attained the rank of Airman First Class. He was discharged on  December 14, 1954.  He was married on May 25, 1952 to Mary G. Wright in St. Benedict Church in Somerville and they were married for 50 years. Ronald was a truck driver for Exxon Oil Corp. of  Everett, MA  where he worked for 30 years and retired in the 1990's.  Ron was an avid billiards  player.

He is survived by his wife Mary G. (Palazzuolo) Wright and  was the father of  Douglas   E. Wright of Danvers, Edward   R. Wright of Londonderry, NH, Judith  M. Foley of Malden, Thomas  M. Wright of  Chelsea, Chris  M. Wright  of  Melrose, Lisa  A. Connor of Westboro. He was the brother of Cynthia  A. Williams. Grandfather of  eight  grandchildren.

He was born  May 26, 1930 in Milo, Maine the son of the late Henry and Hazel (Blakeney) Wright. Ronald was the brother of the late Phyllis Luce formerly of Wareham, MA  He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict 

Visitation will be held at Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden  on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , 25 Stuart St.  Boston,  MA 02116. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn  Memorial Park in Peabody.
