Helen Alena Yow
Helen A. (Soule) Yow,
79, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the Dexter
House Nursing Home in Malden, MA. Helen was born in Wakefield, and while
growing up, she lived in Wakefield, Melrose, and Malden, completing her
education in the Malden Schools. She
worked as a nurses aid for a number of nursing homes in the area for several
years. At the age of thirty she married her sweetheart Donald, and the two would
share the next thirty four years until his passing in 1989. Helen
was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Malden where she
sang in the choir and participated in the social groups there. She was also very
fond of cats. Mrs. Yow lived in
Malden, MA for over fifty years.
She is survived by her son, David K. Yow of Lynn and her
sister, Lillian A. Mc Gough of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald
H. Yow and her sister Arline Nelson.
She was born April 12, 1925 in Wakefield, MA he daughter of
the late George H. and Moria (Pendleton) Soule.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144
Salem Street, Malden on Thursday, from 4-8 PM
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2004 at
10:00 A.M. in the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. Ruth R. Oduor Pastor of the
Christ United Church will be
officiating. Burial will be in the
Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
