Joseph Reade
Constantine, 75, an accountant for John Hancock, where he worked
for years, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Massachusetts
General Hospital in Boston. He was born in 1935 in Melrose,
the son of Joseph and Illda B.(Allen) Constantine. He moved to
Malden at an early age and graduated from Malden High School
with the class of 1953. Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the
US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was
discharged in 1958 having served his enlistment honorably. He
then enrolled in Clark University and graduated with a degree in
Accounting. He took employment with the John Hancock Life Ins.
Company, and worked for them for over 30 years until his
retirement. Not content with retired life, he became and
accountant for Bank of America and worked there for many years
as well. Joe was an avid sports fan, and would always be
watching different games on tv, listening to them on the radio,
or reading about the events in the newspaper, but would always
immerse himself in the world of sports.
He is survived
by his wife Lois A. (Howland), his sister, Shirley Constantine
of Malden, MA, his niece, Debra L. Tilden of Malden, and his
great nephew, Michael J. Tringali of Malden.
He was
preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Illda B. (Allen)
Constantine; his sister Phyllis Tilden; and his nieces Nanci
Murphy and Norma Tringali.
Funeral
services will be held Friday, Oct 8th, at 10:00 AM
at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in
Peabody. Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home on
Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
