Mona A. Cronin Mona A. Cronin, 79, a lifelong resident of Malden, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Lifecare Center of the North Shore in Lynn, Massachusetts. Mona was born and raised in Malden. While growing up she attended the Cheverus Schools. Mona was at one time a very skilled at knitting, and would make sweaters and other garments for her children. She also enjoyed making ceramic pieces. And while she did enjoy the occasional night of bingo one of her great pastimes was sharing time with her grandsons watching professional wrestling on tv. She was also overjoyed about the upcoming college graduation of her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Debra A. Ryan of Malden, Barbara A. Snow of Wilmington, Michael A. Cronin of Malden, and Susan A. Cronin of Malden, her sister, Gertrude Duffy of NH, her brother Edward “Sonny” Doyle of Stoneham, and her grandchildren, John Michael Chaplan, Kristy Snow, Daniel Snow, John Joseph Field, and Joseph P. Field. She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Anne (Mac Neil) Doyle, and her brother John J. Doyle. Funeral arrangements will be private.
