Cynthia Lee Byrd-DiBenedetto

In life-June 2,1967 in death February 6, 2010

Cynthia Byrd-DiBenedetto was born June 2, 1967 in Oregon City, OR. Cindy left this earth February 6th 2010 to be with her brother among the angels. Cindy was raised in Moses Lake, WA and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1985. After High School Cindy moved to Boston, MA at the age of 18 to become a nanny; after realizing she was not nanny material Cindy decided she needed to further her education. Cindy aimed high; she worked and put herself through Boston College earning a B.A. in Marketing. After graduation Cindy took the car industry by storm, she quickly worked her way from being a salesperson at a Honda dealership to becoming Finance Manager at Flagship Motorcars, a Mercedes Benz dealership. It was there where Cindy met Tommy DiBenedetto; “he says he went there to buy a new Mercedes and ended up with a wife too.” Years later Cindy and Tommy did divorce, but maintained a very special friendship.

More recently Cindy was into interior design; she was so passionate about it that she even began taking college classes on design and architecture. Cindy loved her family dearly, but she also enjoyed many other things like- decorating, painting, good food( hometown favorites Arctic Circle Fry Sauce and Maple Bars), traveling, art, culture, music, white tulips; lilies clothes, shoes, and bags (BURBERRY), good books, candles, and jewelry (TIFFANY, CARTIER).

Two of the many lights in Cindy’s life are her dog Leah Katherine, whom she dressed everyday and her loving companion Johnny MacDonald of Georgetown, MA with whom she has shared the last several years with; together they loved to travel, cook, boat and take long walks with Leah in the evening.

Cindy is survived by her mother Sally Christensen, her father William Martin, Jr. and his wife Sharon Martin. Cindy was blessed to have a large family, always on the phone with one or many of her sisters, whom are Letha Hays of Moses Lake, WA, Ronda Jones of Venice, FL, Billie Vinson of Kennewick, WA and Heather Anderson of Moses Lake, WA. Cindy’s other siblings include Amy Gidding of Medford, OR, Marcus, Matthew and Sarah Martin, all of Kennewick, WA. Having so many sisters Cindy was surrounded by nieces and nephews as often as possible: Tiffany, Chelsey, Ashley, Christopher, Blair, Brittany, Ricky, Kayleee, Kortney, Katelynn, and Robby D; Great nephews Gavin, Gage and Jaydn. She is preceded in death by her brother Dean Allen Byrd, Grandmother Charita Bishop, Grandparents Beulah and William Martin Sr., Grandpa Sam Lyons and Natalie and Diego Beltran.

Since the passing of her brother from cancer 29 years ago, the American Cancer Society has been a charity that Cindy has supported, and donations in her memory to the cancer society would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be sent to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

There will be Celebration of Life Services on February 27th at 2pm, at the Heritage Baptist Church, 4334 Joanne Drive, Mose Lake,WA.
