Elizabeth L. Dondero
Elizabeth L. Dondero, a longtime resident
of Everett, who had recently moved to Swampscott, passed away on
Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice
House, with her loving family by her side. She was 98 years
old. Elizabeth was born in Boston in 1913, the daughter of
Francesco and Pasqualina Ferretti. She moved to Everett at an
early age where she was raised and educated. In 1938, she
married her sweetheart, Arthur J. Dondero, and the two settled
down in Everett to raise their family. Arthur and Elizabeth
shared over 35 years together until Arthurs passing in 1973.
Elizabeth was a faithful member of St. Anthonys of Padua in
Everett. She enjoyed a quiet life and appreciated being able to
be at home with her family.
She is survived by her children, John A.
Dondero of Everett, Lorraine E. Ellis of Swampscott, and Edward
A. Dondero of Saugus, her grandchildren, Lisa, Robert, Jay,
Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Brian and Katelyn, as well as 7 great-
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her
husband Arthur, her parents, Francesco and Pasqualina Ferretti,
and her siblings, Andrew Ferretti, Anna Ferretti, and Louise
Basso.
Funeral Services will be held from the
Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on
Saturday, Dec 10th, at 7:45AM followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua, 38 Oaks St,
Everett, at 9AM. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Everett.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home
on Friday, Dec 9th, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm.
