Robert D.
Fraser, of Malden, passed away unexpectedly on February 9th,
at his home in Malden, MA. He was born in Norwood, MA, in
1955. He will be greatly missed.
He is
survived by his parents, Richard and Gerry Fraser of Dennisport,
MA, his mother, Joan Fraser of Kingston, MA, his son , Beau B.
Fraser of Amherst, NH, his sister, Lee Fraser of Malden, MA< and
his aunt, Helen Miklas of Falmouth.
Robert was
a graduate of Walpole High School. After his graduation he
attended Graham Junior College in Boston. For over 20 years, he
worked at the Polaroid Corporation as a Chemical Processor,
mainly at building W-2. More recently, he held a similar
position at Lubrizol Corp. in Wilmington, MA.
Robert
enjoyed 10 years as half of the competitive barbecue team “Back
40 BBQ” with his sister, and was a member of the New England
Barbecue Society and the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Their
team won two Massachusetts State Barbecue Chmpionships. Robert
also got to see his beloved Red Sox win two World Series.
In
accordance with Roberts wishes, a small time of gathering and
reflection will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral
Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Sunday, February 13th from 2 –
4 PM.
Donations in Rob's memory may be made to “Rob Fraser
Memorial Scholarship Fund” which will provide scholarships
to Malden High School graduates who wish to pursue a career
in culinary arts. Donations may be sent to:
