Dorothy C. Gill
Dorothy Caroline (Dodd) Bruce-Gill, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Wed, July 6th, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was born in Malden in 1930, the daughter of Walter and Mary (MacDonald) Dodd. After completing her education, she remained in Malden. For many years she worked for Intercity Home Care, an agency that helped provide household services to the elderly. She also volunteered for many years for Mystic Valley Elder Services. She is survived by her son, Walter E. Bruce and his wife Linda of Wilmington, her grandchildren, Michael Bruce of Malden and Jami Bruce of N. Reading, her grt-granddaughter Kelly Bruce, and her nephews, John Bellmer of WI and Robert Bellmer of Malden. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents Walter and Mary (MacDonald) Dodd, and her sister, Lorraine Simpson. Funeral services will be from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Mon, July 11th, at 9AM followed by a Funeral Service in Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, at 10AM. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sun, from 4-7PM.
