 Madeline Grasso

Madeline Grasso (Williamson), a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Sunday, March 6th, at the Golden Living Center in Malden.  Madeline was born in 1926, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Williamson.  After completing her education, Madeline had married William Marchand.  The two had lived in Norwood for a time before settling down in Malden.  Although the marriage did not last, Madeline found love again and was remarried in 1961 to Michael Grasso.  The two shared  many years together in Malden until Michaels passing in 1976.

Madeline enjoyed playing bingo, and was also an avid card player who was especially fond of playing cribbage.

Madeline is survived by her children, William J. Marchand of Brockton, Madeline M. Marchand of Middleton, Kathleen M. Marchand of Malden, Denise M. Oliveri of Everett, Garry Bergeron of Worcester, Michael J. Grasso of TN and  Joseph J. Grasso of TN, her sister, Mary Kenney of MD, as well as 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. -

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Grasso, her parents, James and Elizabeth (Baron) Williamson, her sister, Elizabeth C. Cummings, her daughter, Elizabeth Cariddi, and granddaughter, Lori A. Dragonetti.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Thursday, March 10th, at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden,  at 10AM. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 9th, from 4-8PM
