Mrs. Marie Greer
“Our Angel” Marie C. (Plummer) Greer, 71, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away in her home in Peabody, Massachusetts on December 25th, surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born and raised in Maryland. After completing High School, she attended Secretarial School. In January of 1964, she and Mathew Greer were married and the two settled down in Malden to raise their family. They shared nearly 40 years together until Matty's passing in 2003. Later she was able to find love and companionship with her fiancé, Jeremiah Duggan. Marie loved to dance, especially to country music. She also enjoyed traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Dawn M. Zanazzo and husband Ron of Peabody, Laura L. Greer and her long time companion Paul Cowen of Randolph, and Matthew M. Greer II and his wife Wendy of Saugus, her step-children, Charles M. Greer of N. Reading, and Grace L. Costanza of Lynnfield, her sisters, Mary Caputo, her twin, of FL, and Gertrude Blattner of AL, her grandchildren, Kara, Tina, Stevie, Ronnie, Tyler, Taylor, Seven, Nova, and Anoki, and her great grandson, Joseph. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Matthew, her brother James Plummer, and her sister Doris Edelen Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, Dec 29th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec 30th, at 9: 00 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, Malden, at 10AM. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery. Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the
