Dorothy was a member of the E.A.L. Retirement Association. She had spent many years living in Boca Raton, FL until recently moving back to Malden. She is survived by her brother, Harold Jenkins of Malden as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Margaret Ann (Hughes) Jenkins, her sister, Bertha Brown, and her brother, Clifford Jenkins. Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10AM. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Dorothy
Margaret Jenkins, 77, a retired flight attendant for Eastern
Airlines, where she worked for 30 years, died Sunday, August 16,
2009 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford,
Massachusetts. Dorothy was born and raised in Malden, the
daughter of the late Wallace and Margaret Ann (Hughes) Jenkins. She
graduated from Cheverus High with the Class of 1949. She then
attended and graduated from Malden Business School. Dorothy
took employment with Liberty Mutual Insurance at their home
office in Boston for four years before joining Eastern Airlines
as a flight attendant. She was based in Miami, FL and worked as a flight
attendant until her retirement in 1986.
