Kevin Michael Jones

 

     Kevin M. Jones of Malden died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester after a very brief illness, he was 50.  Born on May 15, 1958 in Littleton, MA, he was the son of Jean (Murphy) Jones and the late Robert Jones.  Kevin was raised and educated in Littleton.  He was a graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford, MA.  Kevin was employed with Distrigas in Everett for the past twenty-two years.  He worked as a cryogenic pump mechanic, ensuring that the liquefied natural gas the company uses was properly functioning in the pumps.  Kevin married his sweetheart, Lynn M. Fennessey, on December 1, 2001 in Chelmsford.  The couple would have celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary this winter.  Kevin was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He loved traveling on his Harley with his wife Lynn all over New England.  In addition to his bike travels, Kevin also loved to travel in general, especially to Aruba.  He also had a fond delight for computer games.  Above all else, Kevin truly loved and enjoyed his family and friends.  Kevin was a resident of Malden and was previously from Saugus. 

     Kevin is survived by his wife, Lynn M. (Fennessey) Jones of Malden, his children, Michelle and Brian Jones, both of  Saugus, his mother, Jean Jones of Littleton, his brother, William Jones and his wife, Doreen of Danvers and his two nephews.

     A funeral service for Kevin will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11 AM.  Fr. Paul J. Aveni, Pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Revere will be presiding.           

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 12, 2008 from 4 to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kevin’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
