Alice Layne

Alice Layne of Malden MA, died Oct 29th, 2011, at the Epoch Nursing Care Center of Melrose.  Alice was born in Boston in 1919, the daughter of Ruch adn Jenny (Martel) Layne.  She was raised in East Boston and graduated from high school there.  Alice worked most of her life as an Executive Secretary, most recetly for the Chelsea Clock Company in Chelsea, MA where she retired from.  She has lived the past 57 years in Malden.  She has been an active member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Malden, and was a member St. Anne's Guild at the church for over 50 years. 

She leaves on behind 2 nieces, Laurie and Brenda Lane of San Pedro, CA, and her sister-in-law Ruth Watts. She is sister of the late Warren B. Layne, and aunt of the late Gary Layne. Funeral Services will be held at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 26 Washington Street, Malden, on Wed, Nov 2, at 10AM. Private burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry, NH.   There will be no wake.
