Mary Gloria
Lindquist
Mary G. (Adamo) Lindquist, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at
the Mc Fadden Memorial Manor in Malden, she was 92. Born on
March 12, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Rose
(DiMestado) Adamo. Mary was born in Boston and educated in
Malden School system. She was a lifelong resident of Malden
Mary was a member of the former St. Theresa's Parish in Everett
and a member of the Ladies’ Sodality as well as the St. Joseph’s
Church in Malden. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed a good bingo
game, crocheting, and needle work. She was known as a great cook
and loved spending time with her entire family, including her
cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was survived by her daughter, Shirley A. Svenson of Malden,
her son, Paul A. Lindquist of Salem, her daughter, Rosemary
Murphy and her husband, James of Wilmington, and her son, Frank
J. Lindquist and his wife, Diane of Ipswich. She is also
survived by eleven grandchildren & fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnar W. Lindquist,
her twin sister Katherine Cambriello, formerly of Texas, her
brothers, Salvatore Adamo, formerly of Malden, and Biagio Adamo,
formerly of Chelsea.
At the
family’s request, visiting hours have been omitted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s
Church, 770 Salem Street Malden, on Saturday, November 8, 2008
at 10 AM followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of
flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
38105-1942.
