Edward LoRusso
Pasquale
Edward LoRusso, 89, a of Everett, passed away peacefully February 6, 2010
surrounded by his family. Pasquale was born in the N. End
of Boston, the son of Joseph and Phyllis (Rausseo) LoRusso. He enlisted in
the US Army in 1943, where he received a Bronze Star while
fighting in the Aleutian Islands Campaign. In 1947, just a
couple years after his discharge, Pasquale married his
sweetheart, Jean M. Nimmo, and the two settled down in Everett
to raise their family. They shared 50 years together until
Jeans passing in 1997. He worked for the City of Everett Housing Authority
for 35 years as a supervisor. He also
worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years.
Pasquale was a member of the Italian American Citizens Club, and
a member of the VFW.
He is survived
by his children, Joseph Peter LoRusso of Steamboat Springs, CO,
and Michael R. LoRusso and wife Toni of Malden,
Edward W. Libby and wife Colleen of Greenland, NH, David
L. Libby and wife Carol of Everett, his brothers, Anthony
LoRusso of Everett, and Joseph LoRusso of Everett/
He was a devoted grandfather of Lisa, Stacy, Michael, Joseph and
Natalie, and great grandfather of two.
He was
preceded in death by his wife Jean M. Nimmo, his parents,
Joseph and Phyllis LoRusso, his 3 brothers John LoRusso, Rocco
LoRusso, and Sam LoRusso and his 2 sisters, Millie DiNuzzo,
and Theresa Hurst
Visitation
will be at Weir - Mac Cuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden, on Wednesday, Feb 10th, from 4:00 PM to
8:00 PM
Funeral
services will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, Feb 11th
at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs
Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 10AM. Burial will be follow
in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
