Roman Joseph Malinski
Roman J. Malinski died December 23, 2009 at age 91. He was born
August 2, 1918 in Boston, MA, to Alexander and Annie Malinski,
originally of Austria. He was preceded in death by his beloved
wife Anna Malinski, as well as by eight brothers and sisters.
He was raised in the old West End part of Boston, living there
until the neighborhood began redevelopment in 1957. He
relocated to Malden, MA where he was a resident until his death.
He graduated
from Roxbury Memorial High School in 1936, and began a long and
storied career in Boston’s printing industry. The last years
were spent with The Roman Print where he was known for his
tireless dedication, entrepreneurship, and salesmanship. He
retired in 1986.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Girard and son-in-law
Kenneth Girard of Peabody, a son Andrew A. Sarno of Bellingham,
a daughter-in-law Sandra M. Sarno of Saugus; four grandchildren,
Andrew A. Sarno, Jr., Kimberly Sarno, Amanda Cutone and Janis
Cutone and two great grandchildren, Steven and Bryce.
Visitation will be held at Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral
Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 1 Hour prior to service from
10- 11AM, followed by a service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will
follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
