Marylin Virginia Mansfield

  

Marylin V. (Eaton) Mansfield, of Malden died Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, she was 77.  Born on June 27, 1932 in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Carlson) Eaton.  Marylin was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School.  Marylin married her sweetheart, Robert M. Mansfield on March, 6, 1955; the couple had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.  After they were married, Marylin and Robert settled in Malden to raise and care for their family.  Marylin had a few jobs but found her most rewarding job as an administrative assistant in the loans department of the Eastern Bank in Malden.  Marylin enjoyed many things but a few in particular were gardening, knitting, and reading.  She also had a fondness and a soft-spot in her heart for animals.

           Marylin is survived by her husband, Robert Mansfield of Malden, her son, Robin Mansfield of Antrim, NH, her daughter, Susan Mills and her husband, Edward of Malden, and her grandchildren, Kristopher, Raymond, and Carrie Mansfield, C.J. Searle, and Sean Mills. 

Visitation will be held in the Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Thursday, March 18, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held privately.
