Raymond Damas Marcellin
Marie
Raymond Damas Marcellin, 47 a nurse for Hallmark Health VNA,
where she worked for years, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at
the Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Marie was
born June 20, 1961 in Haiti, the daughter of Louis and Maire (Estinfort)
Damas. It was there she was raised and educated as well. In
1988, she married her sweetheart, Harry J. Marcellin. The two
moved to the United States in 1990. Marie was employed as a
nurse for Hallmark VNA for many years.
Marie was a
very religious person who loved to sing. She was part of the
choir as well as a Eucharist Minister. She loved children, as
evidenced by her being both a licensed day care provider and a
foster mother. She was also a seamstress who was skilled at
making dresses, and she had a great fondness for cooking.
She is
survived by her husband, Harry J. Marcellin of Everett, MA, her
sons, Gregory Marcellin of Everett and Stanley Marcellin of
Everett, her sisters, Marie Claire Janvier of NY, Agathe D.
Baptiste of PA, Myrlande Auguste of Brooklyn, NY, Michaelle
Dominique of Everett, and Marie Yolene D. Riguer of Brooklyn,
NY.
She was
preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Maire (Estinfort).Damas.
Visitation
will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden, on Friday, Dec 12th, from 5 - 9 PM
Funeral
services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday,
December 13, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian
Burial in St. Joseph’s Church,118 High Street, Medford.
Entombment will immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery,
Malden. |
