Frank  Marino,  71, a  longtime resident of Malden,  died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Sawtelle Family Hospice  House in Reading, Massachusetts.  Frank was born and raised in Boston's North End.  He attended Charlestown High School while growing up, and after graduating in 1955, he attended Northeastern College.  Over the years Frank had worked for many years at Nabisco foods before taking employment with Sweetheart Plastics in Somerville.  He worked as a mechanic in the machine shop at the plastics company.  He worked there until the year 2000 when he retired.  During that time Frank had moved from Boston to Melrose, before settling in Malden in 1970.

Frank was proud of his Italian heritage and became a member and Past President of the St. Josephs Society, North End, and was also a member of the Italian American War Veterans, Post 8, Medford.   More recently, Frank’s greatest joy was spending family time playing with grandchildren.
