Virginia Maria
Roach, 74, of Stoneham, formely of Malden, passed away on
Tuesday, January 9th, at her home after a lengthy
illness. She was born November 19, 1937 in Queens, New York the
daughter of John and Gladys (Griffin) Fennell.
After high school, she worked for
Bethlehem Steel, before settling down and starting her family.
She lived in Queens, NY and Somerville before settling down in
Malden. In 1995, she married her sweetheart, Edward Roach, and
the two shared nearly 17 years together in Randolph and
Stoneham. Ginny enjoyed shopping and tending to her
flower garden, but her greatest joy was spending time with her
family, especially her grandchildren
She is
survived by her husband Edward T. Roach, her children, Thomas
Newman of Malden, Patricia Newman of Saugus,
Kathleen Millerick of Saugus, and her
husband Henry “Buddy”, and Maureen Sullivan and her husband
Stephen of Newburyport, her sisters, Judith Fennell of
Houston, TX, Susan Meuller of Schnecksville, PA, and her
grandchildren, Fallon, Tara, Devony, Holly, and Jack.
Ginny was
preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Fennell, her
daughter Tara Tamasi, and her brother John Fennell.
Visitation
will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden, on Thursday, January 12th, from 4:00 PM to
7:00 PM
Funeral
services will be private.
