Carol "Peachie" Valente
Carol “Peachie”( Piontkowski) Valente, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Sept 12th at her home. Carol was born and raised in Medford, the daughter of the late Theodore and Anna (Mazaka) Piontkowski. She graduated from Medford High with the Class of 1965. Carol has lived in Malden for the past 40 years. She recently retired from the City of Malden where she had worked as a clerk in various departments, including the City Clerks office and the Veterans Administration. More recently she had worked with the elderly in the Senior Citizens Center, a job that she found very fulfilling. She was a devoted and loving mother of Sherry E. Valente and Gina R. Poor. Peachie was also a loving best friend of her sisters, Marilyn Demusz and husband Paul, Laraine Barton, Theodora Dolan, and the late Janet Ashton, and her step-sister,Melinda O’Loughlin. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed and always remember by her family and close friends.
