Fannie E. Wilsack (Thompson)

 

Fannie E. Wilsack (Thompson), a longtime resident of Malden, passed away in Wilmington on Friday, May 21st. Fannie was born and raised in Everett, MA, the oldest of seven children. She was a graduate of Everett H.S. with the class of 1932.  The following year, she married her sweetheart, Frank A. Wilsack in Sacred Hearts Church in Malden,  and the two shared the next 67 years together until Frank's passing in 2001.  Fannie had a major impact on teaching her two sons, Richard and Ralph, excellence in the English language. She also took a big role in helping to raise her grandchildren.  Fannie also worked as a secretary with 30 engineers at National Radio.  She and her husband Frank were very active together throughout her life, and in her spare time she enjoyed playing card games like Whist.

Fannie is survived by her two sons, Richard N. and his wife Barbara of Eastham, MA, and Ralph S. and his wife Susan of Choctaw, OK, her grandsons, Andrew F. and his wife Kathleen T. of Lexington, MA, Thomas M. and his wife Audrey of Andover, MA, Michael N. and his wife Bethan of Westford, MA, Peter R. and Daniel J., both of  Choctaw,OK,  and her step-grandsons, Scott R. Bergman and his wife Alison of Hyde Park, VT, Stephen R. Bergman D.O., of Kirksville, MO., her great-grandchildren, Sarah and Lauren of Westford, MA, Rachel and Nicole of Andover, MA, and great step-grandson, Peter Bergman of VT.  She is also survived by her sister Lillian Swanstrom and her husband Herbert of Arlington, brother Harold Thompson and his wife Nan of Medford.  She is preceded in death by her brother Norman Thompson and his wife Elsie, her sister Mildred House and her husband Harold, her brother Lester Thompson and his wife Elinor, her sister Audrey Arseneault and her husband John.

A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church, 87 Church Street Wilmington, on Wed, May 26th, at 11AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Fannie’s memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street Watertown, MA 02472.
