On July 18, 1981, in Stoneham, MA, an energetic and bright-eyed baby girl, Alesha Marie Jones entered this world. Alesha or Leesh, as she was so affectionately called, grew up in Lynn (Curwin Circle) and North Revere (the hill) but resided in Malden at the time of her passing on April 23, 2024.
Instead of attending high school, Alesha chose to join and graduate from the City Year Boston Program. Joining this program allowed her to not only pursue her educational goals but to give back to the community and make a difference. She went on to receive an associate degree in psychology from Bunker Hill Community College in 2010.
While receiving her degree was a major accomplishment, her biggest accomplishment and sense of purpose arrived on November 16, 2007, when Chace Elias Bolling was born. To say Alesha was a loving and devoted mother was an understatement. Alesha loved being a mom, especially a boy mom. Chace played and excelled at every sport (baseball, basketball, and football) and Alesha was his biggest cheerleader and supporter, on the sidelines at every game. Alesha opted to drive for Uber and Lyft to ensure flexibility when Chace began to play AAU sports. She would sacrifice monetary gain to ensure Chace could be where he needed to be on time and do what he loved. Alesha’s priorities were intact, and her actions were driven by love.
If you knew Alesha, you knew just how big her heart was. She had a giving spirit and never showed up anywhere empty-handed. Her gifts were always selected with great thought of what the receiver would like. It was not unusual to receive photographs in the mail from Alesha of moments that were captured. She knew the value of a moment and had figured out that memories shared were far more valuable than tangible gifts.
Alesha was a lover of arts and fashion. She enjoyed creating collages, photography, music, especially music. She loved going to concerts. If you visited with her, you would be blessed to hear soulful sounds from artists like Lauryn Hill or Michael Jackson playing. She loved Nas! She enjoyed learning/reading and would often spend time at the library. She had real style, and her long, curly hair complimented any outfit she rocked!
She was spontaneous and loved adventure, even deciding to skydive on her 40th birthday! On April 23rd, Alesha began her next adventure, and we take comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering. Her spirit and vibrations were far too bright for this dark world and her soul far too kind. Her bright, bubbly and energetic spirit will be missed by all!
Alesha was a devoted mother to Chace Elias Bolling of Malden and cherished daughter of Russell Jones (Deb Cifuni) and Donna Flammia (Jeff Satterwhite) of North Revere. She was predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents- John Jones (Laura) and Paul Flammia (Martha). Loving sister to Talisa “Michelle” Hobbins-Campbell, Russell Roberts, Sr., Rolanda "Tookie" Flammia, Paul Quinn, Latoya Satterwhite, Jeffrey Satterwhite, Christopher Jones, Anthony Frazier, and her bonus sister- Tara Napolitano. She is known as Aunty to Jamal Jones, Decovan Wilson, Clinton Cotton, Adriana Roberts, Tariana Abellard, Laila Abellard, Dante Lubell Satterwhite, Russell Roberts, Jr., Olivia Roberts and Elias Wilson. Alesha leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her greatly. Alesha was predeceased by her sister, Nicole "Nikki" Roberts. "We love you Leesh!"
