Ann-Marie Ryan Obituary

Ann-Marie (McCuish) Ryan, a longtime resident of Revere, passed away suddenly on December 2nd at the age of 65.  Ann-Marie was born in Revere in 1957, the daughter of Chester Lloyd and Carol Ann McCuish.  She was raised in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1975.  In her younger years, Ann-Marie enjoyed many escapades; those who were there, know. Ann-Marie was a devoted wife and partner to her husband Ed for 42 years. Ann-Marie took great pleasure in being the videographer and lead support member of their nationally acclaimed Pro Stock H-D drag bike and their Mass Bay Championship Sailboat Racing Team. She had many careers before she and her husband owned and operated laundromats and convenience stores in Revere and Winthrop. She was a great lover of animals, as can be attested by every dog who stopped by their store.  Photographing nature and crafting were some of her creative outlets.  In retirement, Ann-Marie enjoyed her days relaxing in her home with winter views of Boston and the ocean. In the summer, she enjoyed the peacefulness found in sitting on her back deck surrounded by trees. Her love of animals continued with frequent visits from the wildlife who feasted on the daily smorgasbord she provided them. On cool autumn days, Ann-Marie enjoyed long rides with loud rock music playing. She was known for her creative cooking style. And, we must never forget, her hugs and love.

She is survived by her husband Ed, her mother, Carol A. McCuish of Malden, her brothers, Steven L. McCuish of Peabody and Daniel C. McCuish of Georgetown, her sister, Luana L. McCuish of Peabody, many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and her furry buddies, Alvin and Stella.

In memory of Ann-Marie, please consider donating to an animal shelter or wildlife preservation fund. The Odd Cat Sanctuary was a favorite.

Visiting hours for Ann-Marie will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on  Friday, December 9th, from 1 - 3 PM.
