Anthony Ruggiero
Anthony Ruggiero, age 87, a lifelong resident of Malden, MA, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. Anthony was born in 1923, the son of Angelo and Lucia (Mustone) Ruggiero. In 1963, he married his sweetheart, Maria Mistretta, in St. Steven's Church in Bostons North End. They settled down together in Malden where they raised their family. Anthony had worked as a machinist for the Friend Bean Company in Malden. He was also a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Malden.
He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Ruggiero, his daughter, Maria Ruggiero of Malden, his sister, Phyllis Piniaro of Stoneham, and his grandsons, Frederick, Anthony, and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Lucy Ruggiero, his brothers, Domenic Ruggiero and Alexander Ruggiero, and his sisters, Louise Smithell, Rose DiMinico, Elizabeth Santangelo, Grace Cantone, and Josephine Guiliano
Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Wednesday, March 14th, at 8:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden, at 9:00AM. Interment to follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 13th, from 4-8PM.
