Antoinette D. (Lenzi) Eisner, known as Ann to all, a loving wife and mother, passed away on Thursday, April 23rd, at the age of 98. Antoinette was born in 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Lucia Lenzi. She was raised and educated in Charlestown, graduating from Charlestown High School with the Class of 1946. In 1955, she married her sweetheart, Warren E. Eisner, and the two settled down in the Oak Grove section of Malden to raise their family. She was a devoted mother to her five children and a proud and loving grandmother, known as Nana to her seven grandchildren.
She was well known for Nana’s special meatballs which no one could quite match the exact recipe, but everyone kept trying.
Family was everything to her, her house was always an open door. Anyone who entered was treated like family, sharing many holidays, birthdays, celebrations, baking cookies with family members and celebrating milestones. Her birthdate was April 3, 1928 and her husband Warren’s was April 5, 1928. Not a year would go by that the joke wasn’t told by Warren that “he had married an older woman”. They both just celebrated their 98th birthdays together. This year Ann’s birthday was Good Friday and Warren’s was on Easter Sunday. They spent 71 years of marriage with her devoted husband by her side to the very end.
She is survived by her husband, Warren E. Eisner Sr., her children Warren Eisner Jr of New Durham, NH, ;Carol Melle and husband Timmy of Malden, Linda Eisner of Salem, NH, John Eisner and wife Tracy of Salem, NH, and Marybeth Circeo of Salem, NH, her brothers Joseph Lenzi and wife Rachel of Franklin, MA , Phillip Lenzi of Swampscott, and her grandchildren, Timothy, Emily, Natalie, Warren E. III, Nathan, Olivia, and John Jr.
Ann was preceded in death by her sister Mary DiMauro and her husband Vincent, her brother Vincent Lenzi and his wife Carmella, her brother Domenic Lenzi and his wife Georgina, and her sister-in-law Janice Lenzi.
A memorial funeral service will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Wed, April 29th, at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 11 AM.
