Charles Simons, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Saturday February 28th, at the age of 71. Charlie was born in 1955, the son of Louis and Mabel Simons. He was raised and educated in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1974. After high school, Charlie was married to Judith DiCesare, and raised their two sons. Charlie had taken courses at the John J. College of Criminal Justice. He worked many years at Andler Bottle Company and happily retired. For many years Charlie was a coach for Malden Little League, and for the Malden American Legion Baseball team.
He is survived by his children, Nicholas Simons and Brian Simons, both of Spring Hill, Fl, his fiancé Irene Barretto of Malden, his sister Sue Rogan of Ipswich, and his former wife Judith DiCesare of Peabody. Charlie was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Lacey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden from 4-8 PM. All other services will be private.
