Christila (Fluerissaint) Larivaux

Christila (Fluerissaint) Larivaux, Born on July 9th, 1946 to Louisana Lubin, and Duranthon Fleurissaint in Aquin, Haiti. Christila passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 15th, 2025 at the age of 78 years old. Christila was a woman of prayer, a missionary, a soul of grace, she worshiped her Lord with a radiant face. Through every trial, she stood firm in her faith, Her love for God shining bright in her wake. Christila practiced, and taught others how to love. Christila was the late wife of Jean Raphael Larivaux (deceased 1996). She was a devoted mother to Pierre, Daphne, and Serge. A grandmother and a great grandmother of 15. A sister of Yvonne, Janna, Guyteau and Serge. An aunt, cousin, founder of multiple churches, including (EBL) L'eglise Baptiste de Lilavois and Deaconess. A friend to all that crossed her path without distinction. And most importantly a loveable, and sincere human overall. She saw no evil in anyone and only looked forward to better days. Now in His presence, she sings her sweet song, in the Kingdom of Heaven where she’s always belonged. Her spirit remains, her love carries on, guiding us gently, even though she is gone. Forever in our hearts, Christila’s memory will be cherished, a testament to a life lived in devotion, faith and love.

Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden MA on Friday, January 31st, from 4-8 PM.  

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1st,  at the Missionary Church of the Haitian Community, 100 Temple St, Somerville, MA with visitation from 8:30 to 9:30, and the funeral service beginning at 9:30.   Interment will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
