Christodouli (Boukouvalas) Romvos

Christodouli Romvos (Née Boukouvalas), age 85, beloved wife of the late Spyridon Romvos, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.  A long time Malden resident, Christodouli was born in Saint George’s, Grevena, Greece, to Polyxeni (Née Kontos) and Giorgios Boukouvalas.

Newly married, Christodouli immigrated to the United States in 1962 with her husband, Spyridon, where they would live out their American dream for the next 63 years.

Christodouli worked as a seamstress in Boston for many years.  She was a lifelong parishioner and member of the Philoptochos of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Boston’s South End.  A woman of deep faith, her heart and soul were dedicated to being a devoted wife and mother, embracing her family with love and nourishing them through her unrivaled cooking skills.

Christodouli is survived by her children and their spouses: Marcos and Suzanne Romano Romvos of Amesbury, MA; George and Deborah Fallon Romvos; and granddaughter, Olivia Romvos.  She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Boukouvalas and his wife Malamati of Westwood, along with her niece Polina and nephew George.

Visitation for Christodouli Romvos will be held on Tuesday June 30th at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church located at 15 Union Pk, Boston, MA 02118 at 10 am will a service to follow at 11. Interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden directly after the service.
