Cora Angela (Powers) Webster

Cora Angela Webster, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Monday, January 12th, at the age of 94. Born in East Boston in 1931, she was the cherished daughter of Nicholas and Stella Powers. After completing her education, Cora began her professional journey, where she worked as a Quality Control Specialist, retiring from General Electric in Burlington. Her dedication and attention to detail defined her years at the company. In 1976, Cora married her sweetheart, Clifford Webster. Together, they made their home in Malden and shared 33 wonderful years of marriage until Clifford’s passing in 2009.

Cora was a devoted mother, nana, and great-nana. She treasured her family above all else and spent all her free time with them, creating lasting memories, nurturing close individual bonds with all of her family, never missing any important events. She was always there to support, without judgement everyone she loved.

Cora is survived by her children William Austin of New Hampshire, Audrey Lutkevich of Malden, Richard Austin of Revere, Sean Austin of New Hampshire and Keith Austin of Malden, her grandchildren Alison Charpentier, Daniel Austin, Stephen Austin, Shane Lutkevich, Derek Lutkevich, Drew Austin, Ryan Adams and Laura Oliver, her great-grandchildren Amberlee Charpentier, Jathan Charpentier, Abriele Charpentier, Steven Lutkevich, Sawyer Lutkevich, Charlotte Lutkevich, Ryleigh Adams, Rosaleigh Adams, Mason Austin, Liliana Oliver as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her daughter Paula Austin,  parents Nicholas and Stella Powers, and her siblings Thomas Powers, Alice DeSimone, Margaret Montgomery, James Powers, Ella Hayes Patricia Dente and Rita Capezzuto.

Visitation for Cora will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Saturday January 17th at 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Hearts at 11 am followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
