Douglas Titus Obituary

Doug Titus passed away unexpectedly on March 6th at his group home in Lowell. He was looking forward to celebrating his 50th birthday party in May. Doug was born in Malden May 5th 1974 the son of Victor Titus Sr. and Teresa (King) Titus.

Doug was one of seven siblings, and one of three who have passed away in the last 18 months. Doug loved music, guitar and movies and loved to sing Buddy Holly, Elvis and The Beatles to his nieces and nephews. Always known for making us laugh, Doug's favorite hobby was to make his family smile. He was infamous for signing in ASL "I Love You".

Doug spent every Sunday morning with his sister Teresa for their standing breakfast date, maybe he called her 17 times in a row before then leaving a message every time he called. As his older sister and legal guardian, Uncle Doug and Teresa would spend countless hours on the phone every week discussing movies Uncle Doug watched that week or new songs he discovered. He also loved camping and going out for a coffee multiple times a day.

Doug was a diagnosed Schizophrenic which meant some days were harder than others, but he always made it clear how much he loved his family. As Doug would say “I love you and god bless”

Doug is survived by his siblings Rita Titus of Barrington NH, Teresa Feingold of Tewksbury and Julie Levesque of Haverhill, his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Teresa Titus, his siblings Sandra Emery, Victor Titus Jr. and Kristen Titus.  He will forever be missed.
