Faith McGowan (McGowan) Barry

Faith McGowan Barry, a resident of Malden, MA, passed away on Thursday, September 4th, at the age of 84.  Faith was born in Scranton, PA in 1941, the daughter of John and Rose McGowan.  She was raised and educated in Stamford, CT, where she graduated high school in the Class of 1959 and then attended the University of Connecticut, Storrs, where she majored in Education.  Faith returned to Stamford after university and raised two daughters, often volunteering for field trips and in the schools and attending many sporting events. She always sought to make the holidays special for her family. She worked at Keyes Fibre Company in Stamford and Norwalk, CT. All her life she had a deep compassion for stray animals and helped to rescue and find homes for stray cats.  She enjoyed watching professional sports and gardening. She loved the ocean and the dunes of Chatham, MA. 

She is survived by her children, Heather Barry of Malden and Maura Barry of Stamford, CT, and her grandson Habtamu (Henry).
