Gary E. Haines

Gary E Haines of Middleton NH, passed away February 18th 2025. The son of Violet Haines he was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After graduating high school Gary joined the U.S Navy during the Korean war. On may 29th 1954 he married his sweetheart Gertrude and the two settled down in Melrose to raise their children Mark and Debra. Gary loved spending time with his wife and family as well as gardening and woodworking.

Gary is survived by his wife Gertrude (Sandgren) Haines, his children Mark Haines and wife Lori of Billerica and Debra Regan and husband Bernard of Melrose, his grandchildren Peter and wife Beth and Amy husband Robert, his great granddaughter Delilah, his siblings Frank Haines of North Carolina and Pat Kaufman of Indiana as well as many other family members and friends. Gary was predeceased by his brother James Haines of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at the Weir – MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St Malden on Monday, February 24th, at 11 AM Interment to follow in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
