Jo-Ann Mary Gaudet
Jo-Ann Mary Gaudet, 62, a lifelong resident of Malden died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born January 19, 1949 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of Francis and Mary Bertha Fayne. Jo-Ann was raised in Malden, and graduated from Girls Catholic High School with the Class of 1967. In 1976, Jo-Ann and David F. Gaudet were married in the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden. They settled down in Malden and began raising their family. While the children were growing up, she was very involved with their activities and would always be taking them from one sporting event to another. She also enjoyed watching football on TV, and playing cards, and spending time with her granddaughter. For many years she has been working at the Davenport Home in Malden as a Nurses Aide. In years prior, she worked for the City of Malden, as a crossing guard at the Holmes School.
She is survived by her husband David F. Gaudet, her children, Scott M. Gaudet of Plymouth, Kimberly A. Gaudet and her wife Jennifer Ward-Gaudet of Everett, and Nicole Gaudet and her fiancé Jacqueline Burke of Malden, her brothers, Francis Fayne Jr. of PA, Peter Fayne of Boston, Mark Fayne of Beverly, and Greg Fayne of Sagamore Beach, and her granddaughter, Peyton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jo-Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Mary Bertha Fayne.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec 1st, from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, at 10AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, at 11AM. Father Daniel Hickey will be the Celebrant. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
