James F. Eisner, of Salem, NH formally of Malden, MA, a retired machinist for the Polaroid company, passed away on Saturday, April 1, at the age of 83. James was born in Cambridge in 1939, the son of Warren W. and Cordelia Eisner. He was raised in Cambridge, graduating from High School with the Class of 1957. He then enlisted in the US Airforce, and served honorably. James went on to become a machinist for the Polaroid Company in Waltham , working there for 33 years until his retirement. He was a devoted family member to his siblings and their children. In years past, James enjoyed playing cards with family members, going to Suffolk Downs and had owned a horse that raced there.
He is survived by his brother, Warren E. Eisner Sr, a beloved uncle of Warren Eisner, Jr., Carol Melle, Linda Eisner, John Eisner, MaryBeth Circeo, Lee Thurnquist, Kim Ulrich and the late Teri Thurnquist as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his father, Warren Wakefield Eisner, his mother Cordelia Eisner, his sister Mary Thurnquist, and his brother Nicholas Strafello.
A memorial for James will be held at the Weir – MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Wednesday, April 12th, at 1 PM
