Janet Barbara Aronofsky
Janet Barbara Aronofsky, 77, of Malden, and formerly of Florida, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was born in 1933 in Boston, the daughter of Charles and Josephine (Paulin) Tellier. She grew up in Boston, in both the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury areas. After completing her education, she took employment in the banking industry, where she specialized in mortgage collections. She worked for a long time for the GMAC Mortgage Corp. Janet was married to Harold Anonofsky. The two shared many wonderful years together until Harold's passing in 1986. A few years later, she moved to Altimont Springs, Florida with her son Jack. They spent nearly 10 years in Florida before returning to the Boston area. Janet always had a strong work ethic, and even in later years she enjoyed helping and supporting her neighbors. She was also very charitable and valued giving to those who had greater needs than her own. In Janet's spare time she was fond of art and enjoyed painting.
She is survived by her son Jack Aronofsky of Quincy, MA, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her father Charles Tellier; her mother Josephine Tellier; her brother, Charles Tellier, and her sister Alice McIsaac
