Kenneth E Houghton

Kenneth E. Houghton, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 4th, at the age of 63.  Kenneth was born in Malden in 1962, the son of David Houghton and Ann (Darling) Kellegher.   He was raised in Malden and attended the Northeast Regional Vocation School.  After completing his education, Kenneth enlisted in the US Marine Corp.  After his discharge, he returned to the Malden area.  He loved to travel and found employment that allowed him to realize his dream,  including being a purchasing agent that enabled him to travel to South America, or taking a landscaping position that brought him to Alaska where he kayaked the icy shoreline.  When he was home he simply enjoyed settling down with a good book.

Ken is survived by his mother Ann Kellegher of Maine, and his sister Jennifer Flood and husband David of Wilmington.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, David Houghton.
