Linda (LeShane) Magnusson

Linda Lois (LeShane) Magnusson, 77, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025 at Fairview Senior Living in Hudson NH. Linda was born in Cambridge MA on September 6, 1947 to Susan "Stella" (Reid) LeShane and Donald Windsor LeShane Sr. She was born sixth of 7 children in the family. She grew up in Medford and Revere and graduated from Revere High School in 1965. She married William R. Magnusson in 1968 who preceded her in death in 2019. They were married for 51 years. They had 3 children: Cheryl Lynn Magnusson of Malden, Samantha E. Magnusson of Melrose and Christine D. (Magnusson) Ellison and her husband Michael N. Ellison of Everett. Linda had one Grandson whom she absolutely adored, Sean Nicholas Ellison. Linda spent her life taking care of others and was always kind and generous. She worked briefly in Boston in her 20s as a secretary. She worked as a Nurse Aide at Dexter House in Malden in the early 80's and a respite provider for EMARC, and The North Shore Arc, taking care of several children and some adults with special needs and giving the families a much-needed break. She did this work for about 20 years and loved every single one of her clients. She also worked at Shore Educational Collaborative in Chelsea as a Paraprofessional for 30 years, teaching children with severe disabilities. Having a daughter with Cerebral Palsy, she was drawn to and enjoyed working with people with Special Needs - truly a passion. She very much loved her 6 siblings and spouses and her countless nieces and nephews. She is survived by her two older brothers and one sister: Donald LeShane Jr. and Gail (Rayner) of Hudson NH, June (LeShane) and George Zolezzi of Millbrae CA and Ronald LeShane and Nancy (Gorman) of Princeton MA. Three other siblings preceded Linda in death: Carol (LeShane) Wheeler, Irene LeShane and Lillian (LeShane) Wheeler (Linda’s twin sister).

Visiting hours and brief service will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home at 144 Salem Street, Malden MA on Saturday, August 23 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Burial immediately following at the Forestdale Cemetery in Malden.
