Linda Silva Obituary

Linda J. Silva (Neagle) of Saugus passed away surrounded by family members on October 18th, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of George and Shirley (Sullivan) Neagle. Linda graduated from Malden High School in 1968 and later married her devoted husband, Stanley Silva, on November 25th, 1983.


Linda was a beloved mother to Rebekah, Stanley Jr., Charles, Adam, and Anna. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she dedicated much of her time to fostering children in need of homes, support and love. Linda’s commitment to her faith was evident through her life of generosity and her years of service as a member of the diaconate and as Sunday school superintendent at the First Baptist Church.


Linda is survived by her husband, Stanley Silva Sr., and her children: Rebekah Silva of Lynn, Stanley Silva Jr. of Salem, NH, Adam Silva of Saugus, and Anna Silva of Saugus. She was a loving grandmother to Jack Silva. Linda is also remembered by her siblings: George Neagle Jr. of Farmington, ME; Patricia Berte of Malden; Nanci Eccleston of Nashua, NH; and Donna Eccleston of Farmingdale, ME. In addition, she leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Freedom Hill Community Church, 77 Kennedy Drive, Malden, on November 8th 2025 at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bread of Life, 54 Eastern Ave, Malden MA 02148.
