Louise (Burns) Fiore

Louise Fiore, a lifelong resident of Malden, MA passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2024 in the loving comfort of her family at the age of 100 years old.

Louise was the youngest daughter of John and Mary Burns and the beloved baby sister of the late John, Joseph and William Burns. She was raised and educated in Malden and graduated with the class of 1942. She was also a longtime member of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden.

Louise was the wife of the late Americo (Joe) Fiore and loving mother of her two sons John and Michael, along with their wives Ellen and Kathy Fiore. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jason, Megan and Joshua and was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Louise always loved an adventure. She especially enjoyed taking the T to downtown Boston, the bus to go shopping, or out to get her Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and scratch tickets.  She was always happy to be outside, whether it was going for walks around the city with her dog Casper or simply enjoying the fresh air.  Even in their 90s, Louise and her brother Bill enjoyed going for rides in his convertible, usually for lunch at Friendly’s. In recent years, Louise became a master at bingo and had an impressive winning streak earning her the nickname “Bingo Queen”.  Above all, Louise treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories. Louise’s vibrant spirit and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden MA on Tuesday, May 21st from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 22nd at 9 am from the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at Sacred Hearts Church of Malden, at 10 am.. A private, family interment service will take place at a later date.
