Mary C. (Quin) Bergeron, a loving wife and mother, passed away on Wednesday, August 27th, at the age of 84. Mary was born in Boston, the daughter of Francis and Blanche Quin. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Girls Catholic High School with the Class of 1959. She soon married Kenneth Fielding and the two settled down to raise their family in Malden. They enjoyed many years together until Ken’s passing in 1981. She later found love again and married Paul Bergeron and enjoyed his love and companionship until his passing in 2010.
Mary worked in account receivables for various medical offices. Mary was a devote Catholic and practiced her faith daily by being humble and by her caring and kindness for all she met. She enjoyed spending time with her family, walks with her dogs and sitting in the sunroom with her crossword puzzles and word searches.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Ciardiello and her husband Ronald of North Reading, Deborah Phinney and her boyfriend Robert Choquette of Malden, Kathleen Fielding and her husband Randy Barrett of Malden, her brother Gerard Quin and his wife Barbara of Marshfield, and her five grandchildren, Danielle and her husband Danny, Brianna, Nicholas, Sarah, and Andrew. In addition to her husbands, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Edmund, Francis and Thomas.
Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St on Saturday, August 30th, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Parish,770 Salem St, Malden, at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
