Mary Teresa Silva

Mary T. Silva, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Saturday, November 5th, in Boston.   Mary was born in Malden in 1935, the daughter of Manuel and Maria Silva.  She was educated in the Girls Catholic School, graduating from high school with the Class of 1954.   She went on to become an insurance adjuster, for several different automobile insurance companies over the years, retiring a the age of 65.  Mary enjoyed crosswords and playing cards, as well as traveling in her younger days, and going to visit the home country of Portugal.  She was also faithful to the Rosary, praying every day.

She is survived by her brother Manual L. Silva of Malden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Thursday, November 17th at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden, at 10 AM.  Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 16th, from 4 – 8 PM.
