Mavis M. (Brown) Bagley, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, April 20th, at the age of 87. Mavis was born in Acton, England in 1934, the daughter of Archibald and May Brown. She was raised in England, where she met Ronald Bagley, who was servicing there in the US Air Force as a Communications Specialist. They were soon married, and she returned to the Malden area with Ronald. Although their marriage didn't last, they were blessed with two children and remained friends throughout their life. Mavis went on to work as an accountant for many different companies in the area. She also had worked part time as a waitress.
She is survived by her children, Helen Moran and Lawrence Bagley and his wife Beverly Pantano, her grandchildren, Nolan, Taylar, Lea, Dylan, Brandon, and Devon, her great grandchildren, Greyson, Georgia and Gwenevive May.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Beauchamp, her brother Stanley Bagley, and her former husband, Ronald Bagley.
Funeral services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Saturday, April 24th, at 10 AM. Committal will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday , Apr 23nd, from 4 - 8 PM.
