Mildred (Torgersen) Christie

Mildred Christie of Malden passed away March 17, 2025. The daughter of Trygue and Astrid Torgersen Mildred was born and raised in Malden. She was the devoted wife of the late Frazier Christie with whom she spent nearly 40 years of marriage until his passing. She was also the loving mother of William and Scott Christie. Mildred was an excellent trumpet player in the past winning many prizes and even playing taps at events. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her sons William Christie of Malden and Scott Christie of Alabama, her grandchildren Katie, Kerry and Myla, her great grandchildren Rosie, Jack and Eric, and Nieces Janice, Irene and Nancy as well as many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frazier Christie and her siblings Helen Jacobsen and Norman Torgersen. 

 A Graveside Service for Mildred will be held on Friday, March 21, at Forest Dale Cemetery, in Malden, at 11:00 am.
