Mr. William Wallace Burns, Jr.

William W. Burns, Jr. of Melrose passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge, he was 58. Born in Malden on June 19, 1954, he was the son of the late William W. Burns, Sr. and Vera L. (Gott) Burns. William was raised and educated in Malden. From 1971 until 2010, William was a client at the Project Triangle organization in Malden, a non-profit that is designed to assist people who live with disabilities. William also enjoyed bowling, walking, music, and going on vacation. He also enjoyed time spent with his friends and going out to eat with the Rainbow Club.

William is survived by his siblings, Barbara E. Neagle and her husband, George of Maine and Robert B. Burns and his wife, Joanne of Tewksbury. He is also survived by his niece, Candice Harkins and her husband, Gary of Maine, his nephews, G.J. and his wife, Amanda Neagle of Maine, Shane Neagle of Fort Bragg, NC, Robert Burns, Jr. and Michael Burns, both of Tewksbury as well as his great nieces and nephews, Gary Lee, Hailee, Brandon and Addison.

A funeral service will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11AM. Interment will follow in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Rev. Larry DiZazzo, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Everett will be officiating.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in William's memory may be made to Project Triangle, 420 Pearl St. Malden, MA 02148.
